What Makes a Realtor Valuable to You?
Experience
Most real experts (also known as Realtors, real estate agents, real estate consultants) have successfully sold at least 75 homes. The average consumer will only buy or sell 1-2 houses in their lifetime. When you hire a real estate expert you get the benefits of everything they learned in previous transactions, including: how to write a good offer, how to compete in multiple offer situations, negotiating, risk assessment, preventative actions, and so on.
Especially in real estate, where there are snags or hiccups at almost every corner, it is really comfronting to have someone knowledgeable and experienced guide you through the biggest purchases or sales in your life.
Neighborhood Knowledge
Realtors spend a lot of time studying market data, trends, properties for sale, sold propertiesm, comparable sales, which neighborhoods are in an upward trend, which developments are coming in, which ones backed out, etc. Anyone can do this research as most of it is public data, but isn’t it nice to have a go to person to ask? I think so!
Professionalism
Realtors are licensed professionals, so they have a code of ethics, honesty, rules and regulations, and laws to abide by. When you aren’t dealing with a Realtor, they aren’t bound by the same standards. I think the best real estate experts have a high sense of responsibility for taking care of their clients.
If you’re looking to buy, sell, or invest in real estate, contact a Realtor before diving into the process. You always have the option to do anything alone, but it doesn’t hurt to talk to an expert and see if it is more valuable for you to hire exclusive representation. Don’t know one?
